While I am a professional artist, I have studied with some of the very best watercolour artists/instructors from Canada, the US and Italy - Harold Allanson, Stephen Quiller, John Salminen, Carla O'Connor, Leslie Redhead and Marco Klee Fallani and they don't get any better than this fabulous group! I'll share some tricks I've learned along the way, as well as teach you about color theory/mixing, transparency, building compositions, the balance between transparency & opacity, how to paint light and atmosphere and create good compositions as well as really gaining confidence in this medium. Class handouts , demonstrations and supplies are provided. Students who have taken the Watercolor For Beginners Course at Island Girl Art Studio are welcome to register for this Level 2 Course and should be prepared to work independently for a large part of the class to create work in a subject that they love with the individual support from the instructor. This class focuses on a higher level of technique/ painting mastery, color theory/ mixing, and strong compositions ( finished paintings) and developing original compositions from your photos are all areas to consider at this level. Supplies are Included but students are welcome to bring their own paints, palettes, and brushes. By purchasing this course you agree to our cancellation policy.
